Morning – Amman Tour:

We start in downtown Amman to visit the beautifully restored 2nd-century Roman Theatre, a 6,000-seat amphitheater carved into the hillside, showcasing the city's deep historical layers. Your ticket grants access to three fascinating museums within the complex:

Amman Citadel (Jabal al-Qal'a):
From the Roman Theater, we ascend to the highest of the city's seven hills—Amman's historical heart, occupied for over 7,000 years. Here, your guide will lead you through this ancient site containing ruins from the Roman, Byzantine, and Umayyad periods, including:
- Temple of Hercules: Roman ruins with massive standing columns.
- Umayyad Palace: Early Islamic palace remains with a domed audience hall.
- Byzantine Church Remains.
- Jordan Archaeological Museum: Displays artifacts spanning Jordan's history, with panoramic city views.

Late Morning – Depart for Jerash:
Concluding our Amman tour, we depart the capital and drive north (approx. 50 km, 1 hour) through the picturesque Jordanian countryside to the magnificent Greco-Roman city of Jerash.
Jerash Exploration:
Upon arrival at Jerash, your guide will lead you through one of the world's best-preserved Roman provincial cities. Enter through the imposing Arch of Hadrian.
- Archaeological Site Exploration:
- Walk the original, colonnaded Cardo Maximus.
- Stand in the remarkable Oval Plaza (Forum), surrounded by Ionic columns.
- Visit the grand Temple of Artemis, dedicated to the city's patron goddess.
- Explore the well-preserved South Theatre, where you can experience its remarkable acoustics.
- View the Hippodrome, once the site of thrilling chariot races.
- Pass by the Nymphaeum, the Cathedral, and other significant structures as your guide explains the city's layout and history.
- Jerash Archaeological Museum: Your guided tour includes a visit to the onsite museum, established in 1985. Here, you will see artifacts spanning from the Paleolithic period through the Late Islamic period, including pottery wares, jewelry, coins, statues, and mosaic panels recovered from the site.
Lunch Break: Time will be allocated for an optional lunch at a local restaurant near the site (not included in the tour price). Your guide can assist with recommendations.
Late Afternoon – Return to Amman:
Following our exploration of Jerash, we conclude our visit and begin the return journey to Amman (approx. 50 km, 1 hour). You will be escorted back to your hotel and dropped off in the late afternoon.
